Install WildCard SSL Certificate to Sub-Domains

When you install a wildcard SSL certificate on your server, you'll likely want to install it to your sub domains. cPanel/WHM makes it easy to do this.

FIrst, login to your server via cPanel where the domain (or the parked domain) exists. Once you've logged in, scroll down to the Security section and choose the "SSL/TLS" option.

Once in the SSL/TLS menu, choose the option to "Manage SSL Sites".

You'll now see all your domains, sub-domains and parked domains. For each domain you want to install the Wildcard SSL Certificate on, you'll want to:

  1. Goto the row for the domain you are wanting to update the SSL certificate for
  2. Click "Update Certificate"
  3. Choose "Browse Certificates"
  4. Select the CA Signed SSL Wildcard Certificate
  5. Click "Use Certificate"
  6. Scroll down if needed and click "Install Certificate"

The Wildcard SSL certificate will now be installed on the subdomain of your choosing. Please repeat the above steps 1 - 6 for each sub domain you are wanting to install the SSL certificate for.
